Sobeys Inspired Recipe Series
Sobeys ( a national grocery chain in Canada) has a great recipe and food lifestyle magazine that they give away free in their stores. heavyGFILMS worked with Sobeys to extend this property online with a complementary video series that co-ordinates online videos with the recipes in the print magazine.
This has been a two year relationship that looks to continue as we grow the scope of the program.
George Brown College Chef School
This multi - segment series was shot at George Brown Chef School in their Chef's House facility. In this we covered cooking basics to give the viewer a sense of what it takes to become a culinary professional. We wanted to position GBC Chef School as an authority and leader in culinary education. This ten part series was syndicated to a wide range of food and recipe focused websites, and reached 4 million views.

Foodland Ontario
This was a fall 2009 pilot project with the Ontario government agency that promotes Ontario grown produce to the consumer. A large part of their mandate is to provide home cooks with recipes and know-how in order to use home grown fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy products. We chose a well known food celebrity who is a Food Network veteran, and developed recipes that were easy fun and tasty.

Maso Canali
Our customer in this case wanted the consumer to know that their wine was the perfect accompaniment to steamed mussels. We worked the wine into a recipe, and showed how the wine would pair with the finished dish.
In the mind of the consumer they now had a solid base and reason to try this particular wine. We took an abstract idea “This wine goes with mussels” and produced a concrete “Use this wine in this recipe”.
Through the power of syndication and search this video was watched over 500,000 times in the first 14 weeks of release.
Rosenborg Blue Cheese
Rosenborg Cheese wanted to reach out to new and existing customers and let them know about their ever expanding product range. They also wanted to get the message across that Blue Cheese was easy to cook with, had a number of different flavour profiles, and could be matched with a wide range of wines and beer.
This five video series touched on all of those points and has generated many comments from viewers who are surprised by the diversity.
Ted Reader BBQ Guru
Ted Reader is an award-winning chef and food entertainer, who’s parlayed his passion for food into a culinary tour de force that includes more than a dozen cook books, shelves of food products, live culinary performances, TV and radio cooking shows and appearances as well as culinary demonstrations, a catering company and teaching. Known for his wild hair, pyrotechnic charm and fearless culinary spirit, it’s no surprise that GQ magazine labelled him the “crazy Canuck barbecue kingpin.” The dude just loves to cook!
Ted was looking for a new way to reach his customers and introduce a new range of BBQ sauces and products. We created a series of video segments that kept the message light, and let the consumer know that tasty recipes could be created with little or no preparation - Fast!
These Quickie Griller recipes have been a great hit on Le Gourmet TV and all across the web.
